Process Dice Rolled to Break Routines and Develop Novelty

Word count: 179

A dice with sides that suggest an activity, event, object, tool etc is rolled to break familiar routines and try out new methods for making.
1. Pick a half-finished work from the workshop or start something new. The piece should have an intended outcome. Illustrate the outcome through drawings / notes. Attach this drawing to the back on one (any) of the dice.
2. Assemble the dice (secure with selotape) and roll it to select either a tool or a process. For the next 15-30 mins, use only this tool / process. Rethink your design if needed.
3. At the end of the 30 mins, draw or photography your work in progress (& make notes) if needed) and attach to the inside of another face of the drive.
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 four more times, then spend 30 minutes finishing your work. It should reach a coherent finished product at this stage.
5. Finally, reverse all side of the dice and reassemble so that it now reveals the process of making the piece. Place the finished piece inside the box.
